A seamless handover from the previous organiser
I love this race. And I am so pleased that the new organisers have continued so well.
Communication was top notch, plenty of lovely marshals, plenty of jellybabies and jaffa cakes at the water stations even for the slowest runners (and yes, I am a very slow runner). The route is slightly altered and this is for the better. Excellent sign posting and I loved the pink spray paint. Brekkie was great.
I was concerned I'd miss the cutoff: and the race director was so reassuring I stopped worrying, put the energy into the run, and stormed it.

Fun, challenging friendly half with great marshals, great goody bag and very welcome cooked breakfast at the end. Loved it - and the wife carrying competition (watching!)

I absolutely love this event. I have run the half-marathon about 7 times. Despite having new organisers this year, it has retained its great organisation. I'll be back next year!
