My fav start of the race season half
Fourth time running this top rated event, nice that they have corrected the distance to half marathon length. Beer at the end was amazing, but I did miss singing a verse Jerusalem at the start.. please bring that back.. see you next year.

A great challenge but is organised is a way that makes running fun.
A unbelievable race which is ran in great spirit and marshalled amazingly. Thank you

Loved (almost) every minute
Awesome, challenging route - volunteer marshals were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back, hopefully a little less mud and mist next year!

Challenging half in the Surrey Hills
Lovely race and route, well organised. Thank you
Simon Brown
Muddy great adventure!
Super friendly and well organized running event. Challenging route, with lots of elevation, enhanced by the recent wet weather and resulting mud-fest. Definitely a run I won't forget! Awesome
Alison Martin
Very well organised, and one of the most friendly events I've done.
Andy Carne
Great course run by friendly people with a great atmosphere
Victoria Gallantree
Amazing
Toby Conlon
Quite hilly at the start, hilly at the end, few hills in the middle. But if you want to run up and down some hills, do this one.
Matthew Cluett
Good fast muddy fun
A very good and friendly event, I participated in it as my first half marathon and very much enjoyed it, the course was well marshalled and the last downhill half felt quite fast, passing people on the way back was brilliant as it felt very supportive and community centred
Amanda King
fun for nutters
Paul Watson
A lovely mix of scenes, slopes, terrain and ambience
Really enjoyed it. There’s nothing to compare locally to some of the slopes including the demanding steps around 12 miles. A good challenge
Chris Haley
Great little event that’s super challenging and well organised
Sam Ivin
Great event, well organised, challenging but lovely route.

A lovely race through the woods
On arrival it was unclear where to go to register and where to go to see the Wife Carrying championship. The wife carrying competition started early so even though we arrived on time, based on the timeline shared in the Leith Hill run email, it was almost over by that point.
Thanks for your feedback, Louise. Next year, we will definitely signpost the UK Wife Carrying Race more clearly at Registration so Leith Hill Half runners know to get down to the start by 10.30am to watch the 'pre-match entertainment'. The wife carrying certainly makes it a unique event - in the UK at least!

Lovely half marathon race
Friendly, low key, race. Some decent ascent for the south east. Dry conditions made in t easier. Good encouragement and banter between runners. For beginners it is friendly, as long as you're okay with some hills it's a cracker. As with many events it was hard to hear the pre race brief.
Thanks for the feedback. We're definitely going to invest in a louder PA system next year.

Stunning Surrey Hills Scenery - Very Friendly and well organised!
DAVID ANDERSON
Excellent event, fantastic supportive atmosphere
Very challenging route, but a great event. Really well organised, super friendly and the marshalls all did a great job. Only suggestions would be better signage for the breakfast (which was a lovely touch), a few more helpers for sign in, and make the water station at coldharbour a bit more two way, so that runners can keep their momentum on the return leg and deposit empty cups at a bin 50m along the track
Will certainly return for another crack at the course next year!
